Zhang Fei is renowned for his unwavering loyalty to Liu Bei, the founder of Shu Hana kingdom in China’s Three Kingdoms era. The brotherly bond they share is immortalized through the leg of the Peach Garden Oath, during which Zhang Fei pledged alongside Liu Bei and Guan Yu their collective determination to restore the fallen Han dynasty, and their boundless commitment to each other.

His fierce roar and ferocious manner left Cao Cao's troops hesitant to cross, enabling Liu Bei’s troops to escape safely. Zhang Fei was known for his hot-tempered, impulsive nature. He was famed for his blunt demeanor and sometimes contentious interactions with his comrades. Yet, there was no question about the loyalty and devotion he held to Liu Bei and their shared cause.

Perverse death befell Zhang Fei in 221 AD soon after Liu Bei declared himself emperor. Rumors have it that Zhang Fei was assassinated by his subordinates, Fan Qiang and Zhang Da, who could no longer tolerate his severe discipline.
