Overview:
The Intermediate Programme BAHons, spanning three years, is a cornerstone of our offerings designed to lead students towards achieving ARBRIBA Part 1 qualifications. This program uniquely integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, enabling graduates to envision and create sustnable urban landscapes that address societal needs for the future.
Yearly Structure:
First Year Intermediate 1: The initial phase is characterized by shared open studios that lay a foundation of learning-through-making. Students are equipped with essential skills to explore architectural challenges of the 21st century while deepening their understanding of fundamental architecture principles.
Years Two and Three: These years adopt a unit system where smaller design studios operate vertically, bling diverse perspectives on form, typology, site analysis, materiality, fabrication techniques, alongside critical architectural theory. We emphasize environmental considerations, technical assessments, speculative studies, and various architectural practice methods to prepare students for real-world challenges.
Course Offerings:
Core Studies: Focuses on developing a robust foundation through design exercises, case studies, and collaborative projects.
Environmental Technical Studies: Integrates the latest sustnability practices with traditional techniques, fostering an understanding of material science, energy efficiency, and green building technologies.
History Theory Studies: Explores diverse architectural movements, critical discourse in architecture, and their historical contexts to provide a comprehensive perspective on contemporary issues.
Media Studies: Equip students with digital tools and software proficiency crucial for modern architectural visualization, documentation, and communication.
